

The virgin pumpkin oil was used in Eastern Europe, India and America for the centuries. It is made from the seed of special kind of oil pumpkin. Seeds are ecologically acceptable and for that reason they are in use as crude and rich source of omega fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.
The Family ranch Grbic d.o.o. produces the pumpkin oil from the pumpkin seed of "golica" pumpkin. Year of 2007 production of the pumpkin is organized on 110 Ha, on private area (35 Ha) and also areas of our subcontractors' family ranches (75 ha).
We collect pumpkins and separate pumpkin seed from the cloak using our own machines. We wash collected seeds and put them to warm airing as soon as possible. Dried seeds we clean and so dry and cleaned seeds we put to warehouse until the moment of process them to the pumpkin oil.
Pumpkin seeds are pressed in the oil mill by the first procedure on the temperature up to 130 ˚C and by the second procedure, so-called cool pressure, on the temperature up to 60 ˚C.
Process of getting the oil in the both of our machineries is proceeding without adding of some other oils and without any chemicals. Because of that, the final product is unrefined pumpkin oil and cool pressured pumpkin oil too.
Those oils, made by mentioned process, are very high in quality, have a dark green - brown colour with a red fluorescence and high percentage of the vitamins A, E, C and K.
The virgin pumpkin oil has an extra quality and as a final product it is very rich with the vitamins A, E, C and K.
Fresh oil contains more than 60% unsaturated fatty acids, mostly linoleic acid (45%), oleic acid (25%), palmitic and stearic acid (30%). Because of that, the pumpkin oil is very digestible.
The pumpkin oil contains the essential fatty acids, lecitihin (which is a natural emulsifier and eliminates calcification of blood vassels), proteins and salicil acid (which blocks the blood coagulation), silica acid and the other.
Importance of the pumpkin oil concerning the human food manifests allaying inflammatory process of urinary tract, especially prostate and enuresis.
The pumpkin oil has an impressive, rich, specific and unique taste. It is used in culinary as a salad dressing and with the vinegar, in vegetable food, pasta, meet and as an extra flavour in cookies.
Because of its colour, the pumpkin oil is very interested about creating visual effects during the decoration on food.
Consuming of the pumpkin oil is prior recommended as a salad oil or through the therapy (one spoon daily).
